Our Savior Jesus Christ destroyed death
and brought life to light through the Gospel.
Mk 5:21-43
Thirteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time. Congratulations to our Grade 8s who graduated this past week from St. Finnan’s Catholic School. We distributed the diplomas on the steps of St. Finnan’s Basilica, and though it was a windy day, we were all proud of our brothers and sisters who will be continuing their journey. Let us continue praying for our schools, principals, and teachers, and all students!

We are all ready for the Summer months! Indeed, now that we are planning to reopen more and more I look forward in seeing more of you, and meeting many of you for the first time! Getting together is one of the priorities this summer, and we are preparing for a “Grand Opening” with our new Parish Office & Welcome Centre over at Shalom House. The new Maison Shalom House Management Board met last week to begin the conversation of a new vision and operating plan! Coming this Fall we’ll have an Open House, a few day retreats, ALPHA, Sacramental Registrations and Formation for families continuing on with Baptisms, First Communions, Confirmations, and RCIA, and much more. How about a possible Gift Shop as well? Please let me know if you have more ideas of have we can build up our family together. Let us continue to pray for one another as restrictions lift.
Happy Canada Day! How about mass, followed by a friendly game of Ultimate Frisbee?
Have a great week! Peace.
ps. thanks again for your comments and suggestions regarding the new Coat of Arms project. we hope to have the online form open until late July. then we’ll begin the process of voting in August and September.
