Seek the things that are above, where Christ is.

Therefore, let us celebrate the feast,
not with the old yeast,
the yeast of malice and wickedness,
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8

HAPPY EASTER! Christ is Risen, Alleluia! He is truly Risen, Allelulia! I am looking forward to singing the double alleluia’s at mass, get ready! Indeed, as St. Augustine once said, we are an Easter people, and Alleluia is our song! We finished 40 days of Lent. Today we begin 50 days of the Easter Season! ALLELUIA! The seven weeks from Easter to Pentecost are celebrated as one great Feast Day. St. Anthanasius called them “the great Sunday”. Christians sing “Alleluia” during these days in rejoicing!

I look forward in sharing with you new projects, and continuing in working our vision and mission with our Finance and Pastoral Teams. Indeed, two weeks ago the Communications Team inspired me to begin a new Preaching Series! I am now preparing to go deeper in the reality of Christian Stewardship – inviting us to know our gifts, talents, and treasures! Each weekend we will look at these in greater detail, and preparing ourselves for Pentecost Sunday where all ministries will be thanked in a special way at all masses. Let us continue to pray for one another! God bless you, and Mary protect you. Have a great week. Peace.

ps. let’s continue to pray the Divine Mercy Novena, in preparation for April 11th, Divine Mercy Sunday.

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.
