Quick to listen

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

James 1:19

Fr. Rob and I, continue our online chit chats, Take Eight in our Video Series.

We were both excited, and overwhelmed by joy to see the number of parishioners coming Home, back to Church, for the Ash Wednesday celebrations. “We receive the ashes knowing we are sinners, but the shape of the cross reminds us we have a Saviour.” – Fr. Mike Schmitz

Indeed, we had many people both at our 8am and 7pm service yesterday. It was great! Restrictions continue to lift, and this is good news. There are still a few restrictions left, but the journey continues. Let’s continue to be careful, but let’s get ready to greet and welcome our brothers and sisters, seeking to grow in communion with God, and with one another.

We are also preparing in-person meetings for the Synod process. Your participation will help our Pastoral and Finance Councils make decisions this year, and the next. Please take a few minutes to fill out our parish survey. Our first in-person Synod gathering will take place after Mass, Tuesday, March 8th, at 8:30am. All are invited.

Peace.
