You’ll notice that this week’s Note Bene is different from previous emails. We are trying a different layout for our Note Bene weekly email. If you have questions or comments please send an email to office@stfinnan.ca
Happy 2nd Sunday of Ordinary Time.
Like the disciples in today’s Gospel, we too continue to be hungry and thirsty for God! Though we may search in many different places, we echo the disciples – ”we have found the Messiah” – when we recognize God in Our Lord Jesus Christ! Our Lord brings us truth, and grace, and invites us during these difficult times to, ”Come, and see.” Click here for Pastor’s Blog

New Health Measures
As we know now, starting December 26, religious services, weddings and funerals will be limited to 10 people indoors or outdoors with physical distancing as long as we are in Lockdown (grey). Even for these smaller services the COVID-19 protocols need to be observed. Baptisms require the same controls. Therefore, we will be livestreaming daily mass (including Sundays) at 8 AM, from St. Finnan’s Parish (available on our homepage, or via our YouTube channel However, we are still allowed, and the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall also encourages us to be open for private prayer when possible. A simple registration process (online, email, and by phone) to allow a max of 9 people (+1 priest, me) to attend our daily celebrations….click here to access info. The Sacrament of Confession will also be available before and after our daily masses. Unfortunately at this time, in person indoor meetings or non-religious-service gatherings are not allowed during the time of lockdown. Finally, please continue to follow these emails, and updates via the website. Let us continue to pray for our families, and parishioners, and ask the intercession of the Holy Family so that we may continue to be open to the Christmas presence in our lives. We continue to be careful, but hopeful!
We will be livestreaming daily mass (including Sundays) at 8am, from St. Finnan’s Parish: available online at stfinnan.ca
