KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS
We held our 1st Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, August 18th. Thankfully the rain held off, we had 20 golfers attending. A good time was had by all! We made $400 for our council! We will do it again next year!

MONDAY EVENING MASS
Beginning Monday, September 4, 2023, and each Monday thereafter, evening Mass will be held at 6pm at St. Finnan’s Basilica. Liturgy of the Word and Communion with Deacon John Kennedy will continue at 8 am on Fridays, followed by Adoration until 4 pm.

The Knights of Columbus of Ste-Thérèse and the members of the parish invite you to their BINGOS that will take place Thursday, September 7th and 21st in the parish hall. Doors and canteen open at 5:30 pm; early bird at 6:30 pm and BINGO starts at 7 p.m. 15-card blocks at a cost of $20, includes specials; additional cost for 50/50 games. SUNDAY SCHOOL
We will be relaunching Sunday School during the 11am mass on Sunday September 10th. We welcome kids ages 2-12. If you would like to help run the program (or have a teenager who would like to help), please contact Lorne at: 613 318-4320.
PARENT AND TOT GROUP
This group will also be relaunching in mid-September. Parent and Tot is a once-a-week morning playgroup at Shalom house for anyone who would like to bring their kids/grandkids to come and play with other small children. It’s also a great opportunity for parents to socialize with other parents and grandparents. Stay tuned for the day of the week to be chosen. MEMORIAL SERVICE
A Memorial Service at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Crysler will be on
Sunday, September 10th 2023, at 2:00pm. In case of rain, the Eucharistic celebration will take place in the church. Please bring your lawn chair.
CHOIR
The Centennial Choir of Cornwall is starting a new season of song. If you would like to join, you are most welcome. All range of voices are useful. Our first practice is on Monday, September 11th at 7 pm at Knox-St Paul’s United Church, 800 12th Street East, Cornwall. Come, sing and have fun.
SALESIANS: FAREWELL MASS AND LUNCHEON
The Salesian Sisters have been a vibrant presence in Cornwall for more than 12 years. Their
work with our young people, especially their Friday Activity Nights and their Summer Camps, have brought 100s of young people much joy. Their legacy will be the many teens and young adults they have formed as leaders using the Salesian leadership way. Sadly, at the end of September they will bid us good-bye. To mark the occasion, Archbishop Marcel will preside at a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday, September 16th. The bilingual Mass is being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Nativité (300 Montreal Road) followed by a luncheon at the Agora. All are invited to come and join with the Salesians as they prepare to undertake their new adventures. We hope to see you there.
ANNUAL PARISH SUPPER

HARVEST SUPPER
All are welcome to join St. Raphael’s Parish second annual Harvest Supper on Sunday, September 24th from 4:30pm-7:00pm at the Parish Hall (across the road from the church) for a traditional Thanksgiving turkey supper.
