RESCUE PROJECT
Please join us at Shalom House every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Simply put, an experience of the gospel surrounded by food, conversation and prayer. The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way over eight weeks in a small group format. WOMEN’S MORNING OF REFLECTION

SALESIAN SUMMER CAMP
The Salesian Summer Camp for children ages 7 to 14 will take place from July 3 to 28, 2023. The late registration day (with an additional $20) will take place at the Salesian Youth Center (300 Montreal Road) on June 6th from 7-9pm. CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION JUNE 11TH/BBQ
We will be holding a Corpus Christi Procession on June 11th following the 11:00 am Mass at the Basilica. Procession will start at St. Finnan’s and will end at Shalom house. There will be a pastoral year end BBQ lunch at Shalom that all are invited to attend. We will have games and bouncy castles to entertain any little ones! We will be happy to have any volunteers to help with food preparation. And while you’re here….come and see Shalom house. We will be happy to show you around the building and the property.
CWL NEWS
END OF YEAR CELEBRATION: St. Finnan’s CWL Council invites all members to its end-of-year celebration at Shalom House on Tuesday, June 13th. We will have a light supper, presentation of anniversary pins, special recognition of two 70-year members. Please join us at 5p.m. We will eat at 5:30. We hope to see you there!
RAFFLE: The Alexandria-Cornwall Diocesan CWL will host the Ontario Provincial Convention in Cornwall from July 8 – 12, 2023. For information or to register, visit www.cwl.on.ca This convention will be the culminating event in our 97-year- history as a Diocesan CWL. We want to offer our guests our most hospitable welcome. To help defray expenses, all CWL Councils, including St. Finnan and St. James, are selling tickets on a beautiful quilt. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. THANK YOU: St. Finnan’s Council collected $442.70 for Mother’s Day Roses. The funds were added to the Alexandria-Cornwall Diocesan Convention donation to Our Lady’s Missionaries last weekend. Thank you for your generosity!

FACES OF ABORTION TOUR
Every day in Canada, nearly 300 children are killed by abortion – faceless and nameless. To bring an end to the killing and spare parents the trauma of abortion, we need to bring the culture face to face with the victims of abortion, to rehumanize those who have been dehumanized. This summer, CCBR is going on a national tour across the country. At each stop, there will be educational street outreach during the day and an evening presentation on The Faces of Abortion and how to take action to End the Killing. 50TH ANNIVERSARY
The New Church of St Raphael’s officially opened fifty years ago on Sunday, July 8,1973.

ANOINTING AND HEALING RETREAT
St. Joseph’s Oratory are organizing an evening Retreat of Anointing and Healing on
Monday, July 17, 2023, from 6:00-9:00 pm in the Basilica (6th floor) at St. Joseph’s Oratory, Montreal. This is a rare opportunity to meet this amazing Catholic priest, Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil, PDM, who has gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is a world-renowned preacher. During the Retreat, we will be exposing the Major Reliquary of Saint André Bessette for veneration.
