VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL CLOSING MASS

MEMORIAL MASS FOR FATHER AUGUSTINE’S MOTHER: ANGELINA OBAGO
On Monday, August 14, 2023, at 12p.m. at OLOG, there will be a memorial mass for Angelina Obago, celebrated with Father Augustine’s Brother Nigerian Priests. All parishioners are invited to attend. Following the mass, the parishioners are invited to meet with Father Augustine and the visiting Nigerian Priests in the hall at Our Lady of Grace for a short period of time, to greet the priests and share refreshments sponsored by the CWL from Our Lady of Grace/St. Pius X and St. Bernard’s. Following the meet and greet Father Augustine and fellow priests will be retiring to Father’s home to share a Nigerian meal.
CELEBRATE THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY
Calvary in Green Valley is looking spectacular! Located behind Ste-Marie-de-l’Assomption parish (4172 Country Road 34). Calvary is an outdoor Way of the Cross and pilgrimage site. It is open daily and is a great place to slow down and escape the busyness of everyday life. And on Tuesday, August 15th, Archbishop Marcel will preside over a bilingual Mass (7 pm) as we celebrate the Assumption of Mary. Following Mass, we will pray at the Stations of the Cross. We invite in a special way all Acadians to this outdoor Mass. Our Lady of the Assumption is the patron saint of all Acadians. August 15th is National Acadian Day and has been celebrated since 1881.

Save the date for the next Encounter night hosted at St. James Church on Thursday, August 24th at 7pm. Encounter evenings include a talk, music, confession, and adoration. Hope to see you there! All are invited.

The summer is a great time to connect with family and friends. It is also a great time to ask the Lord to put someone on your heart that you can invite to our Fall Alpha starting in September. The Good News is too important to keep to ourselves; who will you invite?
MONDAY EVENING MASS
Beginning Monday, September 4, 2023, and each Monday thereafter, evening Mass will be held at 6pm at St. Finnan’s Basilica. Liturgy of the Word and Communion with Deacon John Kennedy will continue at 8 am on Fridays, followed by Adoration until 4 pm.
ANNUAL PARISH SUPPER
You are cordially invited by Father Cal and the parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Parish,
Cornwall, to their Annual Parish Supper which will take place on Sunday, September 17th, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Blessed Sacrament Parish Hall. Menu: Spaghetti and meat sauce, salads, buns and pie. Tickets: Adults: $15.00, children (7-12 yrs.): $10.00, children 6 yrs. and under: FREE. All take outs $15.00.

St. Finnan Catholic School is accepting new student registrations for September 2023!
