EASTER MESSAGE

HAPPY EASTER!  ALLELUIA!  CHRIST IS RISEN! HE IS TRULY RISEN!  ALLELUIA!

God is good. God is real. Jesus died for you. He rose for you. And sends you the Holy Spirit for new life!

Families grow stronger through the support and fellowship of other families with shared desires, dreams, and values. Find connection with other families seeking to live out our Christian faith boldly during this Easter season, in an Easter family small group. Learn more and find out where these small groups are available. And if you don’t find one near you, consider leading one yourself!

At our Alpha Reunion on Thursday, March 30, we launched a new program – The Rescue Project – hoping that many of you would be interested. The Rescue Project ( https://rescueproject.us/ ) is for anyone and everyone! It appeals to those who have been walking with Jesus for years, as well as those for whom Jesus is only a figure in ancient history.

We passionately believe that the most urgent task is the compelling proclamation of the gospel, one that not only shares it in an attractive – and concentrated – way, but that also offers people a way of seeing reality, and of making sense of the world, history, and life that is vastly different from the story our modern culture tells.

Until this happens, the Christian faith is often experienced as a mere set of rules and disciplines, and simply going to Church isn’t likely to lead a person to embark on the great adventure that is following Jesus and continuing His mission of the rescuing of this world. We don’t think most people have ever heard the gospel.

Our Parish Office is hoping to offer multiple days/times to begin this program with a small group. Please reach out to us if you are interested. The Rescue Project is an experience of the gospel surrounded by food, conversation and prayer.

The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way over eight weeks in a small group format. This experience is imbued with beauty, authentic humanity, and accompaniment.

Happy Easter! Alleluia! Christ is Risen! He is truly Risen! Alleluia! Saying those words is like drinking a tall glass of cold water after being out in the desert all day. Lent is over and it is now time to celebrate the great joy of Easter!
From your parish office: Fr. Jon, Fr. Gilles, Deacon John, Kayla, Ann, Lorne
