Synod Journey

This past Tuesday morning March 5th we were 12 around the table at our first Synod gathering, and the experience of sharing and respectfully listening was very positive. So much so that everyone expressed interest in continuing the conversation.

Join the next session at Shalom House Tuesday evening 6:30pm March 22nd. Please take some time to pick up and reflect on the two pages of the Synod Participants Guide found at the back of your Church.

It would be helpful to let us know of your attendance. Please contact Mary Ellen Villeneuve brickhill@xplornet.ca, Emma Rose Rayburn emmasab@aol.com or Elizabeth McDonell mcdonellbe@gmail.com Thank you! Light refreshments will be served.

Pastor’s Blog – Blew a Tire

Finally, the holy season of Lent has begun.  Just as hockey is a team sport, so is the parish family!  I look forward to walking this 40-day pilgrimage with all of you, indeed I cannot do it alone.

Quick to Listen – Pastors Chat with Fr. Rob and Fr. Jon

We were both excited, and overwhelmed by joy to see the number of parishioners coming home, back to church.

Synod – But Who do You Say That I Am?

How can we, the faithful and our Christian communities, be more open to evangelization? In the next couple of weeks, we’ll be having different dates and options for you to share in-person. These questions could help our conversations. I know not everyone will have time to meet in-person. I invite you to share your comments online

Archbishop’s Lenten Message – A Lent of Great Importance

How will we live the next few weeks leading up to Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross and his glorious victory over death and evil?

We will accomplish this only if we keep our focus on the Lord who will guide us.
