Mary, the Holy Mother of God

When I find myself in times of trouble

Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

And in my hour of darkness

She is standing right in front of me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Happy Holy New Year! How was your 2020? It was a tough year, but not necessarily a bad year! We are starting 2021 differently indeed! A new day, a new year comes with an examination of conscience, and preparing new year’s resolutions. We have come through many trials and sufferings, however, God is always helping us grow in the two greatest Commandments! If last year, 2020, we grew in our love for God, and love for neighbour, then it may have been a tough year yes, but not a bad year! Same for 2021! How do we know the peace of God? Let us ask Our Lady’s intercession this year for our ourselves, families, and parishes!

Today is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and also the World Day of Peace. The birthday of Jesus, is the birth of peace! We ask the Blessed Virgin Mary today, and this new year, to help us discover, and rediscover the peace that is only found in her son, God in Our Lord Jesus Christ. The person who encounters Mary, cannot but equally encounter Christ. May our devotion to Mary this year continue to help us grow in our love for God, and love for neighbour.

We prayed for you today, at mass! Here is the link (from the start, and the homily). Again, happy holy new Year! Peace!
