Epiphany of the Lord

Lord, every nation on earth will adore you.

Psalm 72

Happy holy new year once again! Today, we welcome the three wise guys, eh – the wise men – who were overwhelmed by joy when they saw that the star had stopped over the place where the child was. They entered the house, knelt in adoration, and offered gifts! This new year, God in Our Lord Jesus Christ, continues to call us, and invite us to kneel down in adoration, offering our gifts, talents, and treasures for His Kingdom.

Christmas luncheon with my brother priests, after the 11AM mass Christmas Day. We had a great time, and I even sent one home with tupperware. Big smiles from Frs. Louis Groetelaars, Didier Kaba, me, Fr. Gilles Marcil.

I hope you had a great Christmas Octave, the season of joy! We continue to deal with our current lockdowns, but I would like to thank all of our leaders for the gift of their time, talents, and treasures, in these past few months, in our beautiful parishes! Especially of course our COVID19 teams who prepare, and work hard at hospitality, to welcome us, and help us with the beauty of our celebrations! Thanks to all our leaders from the North Glengarry Parishes Finance and Pastoral teams, our local teams, and prayer warriors! I appreciate all your help, and like the wise men, I too have been overwhelmed this year – overwhelmed by joy! I thank the Lord for guiding me to our North Glengarry Parishes! I look forward in seeing what the Holy Spirit will do, and how He will guide us in 2021. From Fr. Gilles Marcil and I, thank you to everyone, for your gifts, food, cookies, muffins, cakes, bread, emails, social media messages, texts, and cards! I loved everyone of them, and hope to see you soon to celebrate as a family once again in person.

God bless you, and Mary protect you, and your families in 2021! I share once again the blessing for the New Year (first reading from January 1st:

The LORD bless you and keep you!

The LORD let his face shine upon

you, and be gracious to you!

The LORD look upon you kindly and

give you peace!
