“Trust is knowing that when a team member does push you, they’re doing it because they care about the team.”
Patrick Lencioni, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable, 2002
Thank you to all who took the time last weekend to review our Annual Financial and Pastoral Report 2020! I spoke about this in greater detail at our Sunday masses last weekend. The 2nd Sunday of Lent was about Our Lord’s Transfiguration, and ours as well. Indeed, we are currently being transformed, renewed. Our four parishes have officially begun the process of asking about our vision, our mission, and the game plan for the next year, 5 years, and ultimately, our challenge to grow the Catholic Faith in our communities.
This particular video is the third in a series between Fr. Rob Arsenault and I discussing all things leadership in our parishes! As you can tell, we are having a great time! In this video we are discussing Pat Lencioni’s book Death By Meeting, and discussing in greater detail Amazing Parish, and how they are helping our parishes forming our leaders. Indeed, in the past few months both the North Glengarry Parishes Finance and Pastoral Councils have been hard at work for you. We are now discerning the creation of a new Senior Leadership Team, Strategic Team, and possibly a Tactical Team.
What’s the next step? I am not sure, but I look forward in walking with you all. As we talked about last weekend, it is a leap of faith, which the philosopher Kierkegaard reminded us. Let us continue to pray for one another.
“Remember the past with gratitude, live the present with enthusiasm and look forward to the future with confidence.”
