3rd Sunday of Advent

This week our theme is one of joy! What brings you joy? I want to say thank you to His Grace Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, sj (Archbishop Emeritus) for his leadership for me personally since 2007. I heard the call to the priesthood in 2003 and Archbishop Marcel Gervais opened the door for me. Then Archbishop Prendergast continued, ordaining me in 2009, and it has been a joy to learn from him, how to love God in Our Lord Jesus Christ, and to love Holy Mother Church. I also look forward in working and praying with His Grace Archbishop Marcel Damphousse. Although I was not able to attend the Mass of Inauguration, December 8th, I did manage to follow online via the new Archdiocesan website (see a few screenshots). During his homily, he started sharing his vision for our mission! He also mentioned his joy of the Gospel, which I too am eager to share with each and everyone of you.

Again, what brings you joy? Coffee, for example. Currently, I love turning on the lights of my Christmas tree first thing in the morning, and starting my day with prayer and a strong espresso, contemplating the light of God in my life. I had a few meetings, and also a visit to our local Catholic school (see Advent wreath picture by one of the students). Finally, this is another screenshot of my meeting with His Grace Archbishop Marcel Damphousse, Fr. Dan Van Delst, and abbé Jacques Kabangu, in preparations for the next Presbyteral Council meeting on Tuesday, 10am. It was a great meeting, full of joy, and smiles!

Finally, our Christmas registrations are open, and places are already full for St. Anthony, Apple Hill. This year things will be difficult, due to capacity in all our churches. More information will follow soon, but here is a heads up – a great initiative by our Archdiocese to call people Home during the Christmas season. Please visit the link, and let’s get the conversation going. Have a great week. Rejoice, always! Peace.
